Short Little Hiatus

OMGSH!!! Ladies I apologize for leaving you hanging lately. This past month has been a life changer for me. So let me start off by saying the boyfriend and I have moved in together into this beautiful countryside apartment and I LOVE IT!! The view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and waking up to flowering trees and the sound of a rooster crowing every morning is definitely inspirational and breath taking at the same time. It's definitely a change of scenery than the gloomy air of the city. Bleh! That is also the reason why I haven't been here lately, we have yet to set up our Internet. However, I am back ladies and on my short lived hiatus I have been dying to tell you about my new fashion thoughts and experiences. So please be patient with me as I kind of start over again from last month :)
Btw: shout out to everyone who has taken the time out to visit my new blog and were kind enough to comment and let me into their world. I look up to all of you and I know we will become great friends :D

It wasnt all bad

Ugh, had to work tonight, not that I mind working but sometimes it can get a little stressful. Today at work i unfortunately had THE WORST headache of my 22 years of fabulous living. I'm telling you it was like it was few notches past a migraine. My manager gave me some medicine but I guess my monstrous headache decided that it would not back down without a fight. Anyways it wasn't all bad. I left today with two more pieces of jewelry to call my own and i love them.

I dont know about you but I am in love with the current color blocking trend. Who says fashion has to be dull? Give me a few bright colors with a sheer nude top and I will give you the perfect outfit for day and night. Ugh, if I could actually afford this I swear you wont be able to tell me nothing lol but for now I think I will invest in the Thrift store and JoAnns fabrics for my own spin on this outfit.

"Well i suppose I should introduce myself: My name is Chelsea Kinley (Yeah that's me up there with my high school sweetheart of 6+ years) and if I could describe myself in three words it would be "creative, crazy, and compassionate" (all start with C's --imma dork). I live in Atlanta, Ga but honestly want to live in Cali. I will get there--- one day. lol

This may sound cliche' but fashion is my passion. In grade school I attended Barbizon Modeling school with hopes to become a high fashion model, the feeling of being adorned with such beautiful clothes, accessories and living a glamorous life is all i ever really dreamed of. As I went off to college my heart was filled with a passion to design and i also dabbled in photography. Today i do a little of it all and work as a trend specialist at Charlotte Russe. All that to say, this blog "Jeans & Rice" is dedicated to my love for fashion, to show the world fashion as I see it from my eyes. My ultimate goal is to become a fashion insider for a international fashion magazine and ultimately start my own line.
